The Remarkables - re·mark·ables (ri-ˈmär-kə-bəls) Childhood sexual abuse survivors. Trauma’s elite special forces unit. The ones who’ve left hell behind but will go back in to pull another out. The ones who’ve slayed demons since they were babies. The ones who operate in service to each other and to the ones who didn’t make it - to stop The Uninvited.

The Remarkables backstory We assembled in 2021 online during the pandemic. The founding members met as part of witnessing one another through a peer support program for CSA survivors (Thanks to The Gatehouse!). It became clear after witnessing one another that CSA survivors don’t just have powers like Superheroes, we are Superheroes. In 2023 The Remarkables concept was published as part of Amy Miranda's first book What We've Forgotten.

We are a network of CSA survivors, but we prefer to call ourselves a club.
It's about time we had our own club. Call it a fan club if you want. Our symbol is a Remarkable with a big cape and a light heart. This symbol represents freedom and joy. We deserve our own resources, tips, content and community. So here it comes. Assembled and Captained by Amy, The Remarkables are assembling in a bigger way and looking to build a toolbox for us all. We’ve learned when we focus on the triumph, and not the trauma, we are the most powerful prevention network on the planet. We don’t just prevent by doing and sharing prevention work; we prevent by creating business networks and new economies of community care. This work also helps those of us who may not be ready to share, disclose, identify, or maybe leave the house; we are building the ability for community, safe access to resources by using one word. Remarkable.

Information is power. It leads to disclosure, policy change, and both personal and family revolutions.
We are the revolution. We are the change. We are the superheroes the world needs right now. Whether you have named it publicly (or out loud) or not, you are welcome here. We hope you will subscribe to the newsletter so you can join in our revolution of hope and change.
